Becky Harris, daughter of the late Ollie Harris, founder of Harris Funeral Home, still participates in Funeral Home activities, although retired. She has two children Kathy and David and two grandchildren Phillip and Jada. She is a member of Kings Mountain Baptist Church.

A 1991 graduate of Kings Mountain High School and a 1996 graduate of Gardner-Webb University in Boiling Springs, Bradley received his B.A. Degree. In 2000, Bradley graduated from Fayetteville Technical Community College with an A.A.S. in Funeral Service Education. He is a Funeral Service Licensee in both North and South Carolina, and he is a Preneed Sales Licensee in North Carolina. Bradley has been employed with Harris Funeral Home since 1994. Bradley is a Notary Public and owner and operator of Ellis Funeral Supply, a sales representative company.

Jason Rhodes

Jason Rhodes

Funeral Service Licensee in NC and SC/Trade Embalmer

Jason is a 1996 graduate of Kings Mountain High School and a 1998 graduate of NC State University. While at NC State he earned an AAS degree in Poultry Science and an AAS degree in Swine Management. Jason began a farming career immediately following college. He attended and graduated from American Academy McAllisters Institute in 2010 and began a second career as a Trade Embalmer and Funeral Director with multiple area funeral homes. Jason began working with Harris Funeral Home as a trade embalmer in 2016. He is married to Shelley Bynum and together they own and operate Rhodesdale Farm. The Rhodes are active members of Epic Church at Linwood in Gastonia, NC where he participates in several areas of ministry. Jason continues to educate himself through distance learning courses in embalming techniques and is working to achieve the Certified Funeral Service Practitioner Program Certification. Jason believes that the funeral industry is a valued service in a time of great need. He prides himself in providing quality service and craftmanship in the funeral service profession and feels that it is an honor to serve his community.



Shane Davis

Shane Davis

Operations Manager

Shane is a 1994 graduate of Kings Mountain High School. After graduation Shane served in the US Army as a Carpentry and Masonry Specialist with a secondary MOS as a Combat Engineer. He has been a member of the Kings Mountain Police Department for 20 years, where he served and a Patrol Officer, Detective Corporal, Shift Sergeant and School Resource Officer.

Shane has attained his Advanced Law Enforcement Certificate as well as the North Carolina SRO Certification along with numerous citations, including several Region C Citations, the Life Saving Award and the Meritorious Conduct Award.

Shane served the Town of Grover as a City Council Member as well as Chief of Police. He currently holds North Carolina Firefighter ll and Emergency Medical Technician certifications.

Shane has one son, Patrick Davis, and is a new grandfather of one grandchild, Ophelia “Opie” Hope Davis.

Mr. Davis joined the staff of Harris Funeral Home in 2006 and studied Funeral Science at Cleveland Community College and Fayetteville Technical College. Shane believes funeral service is a calling and a noble career. He enjoys assisting people through some of the most difficult times of their lives.



Carol Dixon

Carol joined the staff of Harris Funeral Home in June 2018.  Born to Rev. Dwight H. and Lorene Edwards, Carol and her family moved to Kings Mountain in 1975 when her father was called to serve as Pastor of Kings Mountain First Wesleyan Church.  She is a graduate of Kings Mountain High School and continues to reside in Kings Mountain with her husband of 37 years, Darryl E. Dixon.

Carol and Darryl are blessed with one wonderful son, Adam; beautiful daughter-in-law, Tania and precious grandson, Grayson.  She and her family are members of Bessemer City First Wesleyan Church.

Before joining the staff of Harris Funeral Home, Carol was employed by the City of Kings Mountain for 14 years.  For 12 of those years she served as Administrative Assistant II at the Patrick Senior Center and 2 years as a Billing Technician.  Carol previously had the privilege of serving the congregation of Kings Mountain Baptist Church for 18 years as Church Secretary.

Having experienced the professional, respectful, dignified, and caring service provided by Harris Funeral Home when her father passed away several years ago, Carol is honored to join the staff in serving the families of our community in their time of sorrow and grief.



Phyllis Carpenter

Funeral Service Assistant/Hostess

Phyllis has worked with Harris Funeral Home for 19 years, serving families during visitations as well as funerals here at our chapel as well as helping with clerical duties.

Phyllis retired from full time employment with Polygram Manufacturing in 1995. She graduated from Kings Business College, Charlotte, NC in 1954. Phyllis has been a lifetime member of Bethlehem Baptist Church in Kings Mountain where she served as church secretary for 9 years.

Phyllis is the widow of the late Gene carpenter and has one son, Ben Carpenter of Kings Mountain. She believes that the funeral service is a noble profession and enjoys helping families through their time of grief.


Gerald D. Lovelace

Gerald D. Lovelace was born July 16, 1937 to Zeno and Eunice Lovelace. Gerald attended Kings Mountain High School graduating with the class of 1955, He then attended and graduated from Carolina Business College in Charlotte, NC. Gerald was employed in the transportation Industry until his retirement.

Gerald has been with Harris Funeral Home for 12 years and in his spare time does volunteer work at the Kings Mountain Hospital; is president of the Patrick Senior Center advisory committee; and recently began participating in the Good News Club at West School.

Gerald is a member of First Presbyterian Church where he sings in the choir and has served as an elder.

Gerald is married to the former Sonyia Goforth and they recently celebrated their 60 year wedding anniversary. They have two daughters Terri Bell and Deana Kramer six grandchildren and three great grandchildren.



Tim Setzer

Tim is a 1985 graduate of Kings Mountain High School and a 1991 Graduate of Gardner Webb University where he earned his Bachelor's degree in Mathematics and Secondary Education. He is an 8th grade Math teacher at Kings Mountain Middle School where he has worked for over 20 years. Tim is also an ordained minister.  He is the former pastor of Lighthouse Ministries in Gastonia, NC where he and his wife, Jodie served for 11 years.  Tim has ministry experiences in pastoring, youth pastoring, evangelizing, mission work, and as a hospital adjunct chaplain.  Tim joined the Harris Funeral Home staff in July 2016.  He feels that working at Harris Funeral Home is a ministry as well. He finds that his experiences as a pastor in ministering to families during the loss of a loved one, helps him in his position as a Funeral Service Assistant.

He has been married to his wife Jodie for 21 years. They have 2 sons, Timothy and Seth. He feels it is an honor to serve the community that he grew up in and also serve as a teacher. 


Ron Epley

Ron Epley was born on December 29, 1956 to James and Ruby Epley. Ron graduated from East Rutherford High School in 1975.  He then attended Isothermal Community College with a major in Insurance & Financial Services. He also completed numerous programs through IMS, the Institute for Management Studies and has completed several New Horizons courses.

Ron is a corporate trainer at Credit Acceptance in Southfield, Michigan where he has worked for the past 12 years. He & his wife also travel and sing with The Golden Valley Crusaders. Ron plays guitar, dobro, and fiddle, as well as singing all four parts. He has traveled with gospel groups since he was 17 years old, and has shared the stage with several major artists such as The Inspirations, Hoppers, Jeff & Sherri Easter, Talleys, Perrys & others.


Ron joined the Harris Funeral Home staff in October 2017.  He feels that working at Harris Funeral Home is a ministry as well. He finds that his experiences as a gospel singer correlates well in ministering to families during the loss of a loved one, and helps him in his position as a Funeral Service Assistant.


Ron is married to Angela and they recently celebrated their 27th year wedding anniversary. They live in Boiling Springs, NC. They have three sons, Michael, Brian & Kyle. They have 4 grandchildren, Caitlin, Oak, Finn and Silas.


Garrett Wease

Garrett was born and raised in Kings Mountain, where he has been active in the community through sports, outreach, and creative work. He and his wife, Baylee (née Stroup) welcomed twin children, Poppy Dee and Jesse Wayde, into the world on June 23, 2023.

Garrett began working as a part time funeral attendant with Harris Funeral Home in 2022 and joined the staff full-time in January 2023. He feels greatly honored to support and serve families during their times of need and to provide dignity and respect for the community members who come into the care of Harris Funeral Home.
